A few years ago I found a site run by a chap called Steve Kamb. In one of his blog’s I found out how he’d stumbled onto a new way of measuring his success.
Steve realised he really liked playing games because there was always the chance to “level up” and he’d become pretty good at them as well. What he also realised, was that he was spending way too much time in the game world rather than in the real world.
He decided to make a game out of his life, to reach new levels of success by “levelling up”. Starting with his diet, fitness, and his life experiences all of which made a big impact on his health, both physically and mentally.
The started Steve launched is called Nerd Fitness. It’s designed to help people make fitness and health something to enjoy and embrace (no matter how athletic, or not they were). He also has a tedX talk, in it he discussed how he went about creating his life as game, it’s definitely worth watching, and I have a link to it at the end.
I believe it’s possible for us to level up as well. But it’s about being intentional.
I know that you probably have a lot to juggle in your life, weather you’re running a business, looking after children, trying to stay fit and healthy plus all the other things that need to be done can become a grind.
If you want to get out of cruse and construct a plan it’s important to know where the weaknesses are. Only then can you “level up” and reverse engineer your life for the one you design.
Have a think:
- Where are you now?
- Where do you want you life to be?
- What’s currently holding you back?
- What future you, would you like to meet in 12 months time?
If you’re struggling with any of these questions then check out this free resource it’s called the LifeScore Assessment. It’ll help you to identify the areas of you life that need attention so you can start to take those steps in small increments.
The lifeScore Assessment will help create the life blueprint you want, one which you have designed like an architect would design a house.
If you want a life you love, one you live and get real progression and satisfaction from, you have to plan it, I promise it will not happen by accident.
Which is why the LifeScore Assessment will help you to start on that road.
Or you could just keep going on the same path you are on now. But If you keep doing the same things you’ve always done, I’m pretty sure you’ll get the same results you’ve always had.
